About Traveling Plate HI

 

We are excited to announce the return of Traveling Plate HI presented by Chef Hui and GoFarm Hawai‘i. Over the past 6 years, Traveling Plate HI has brought 100+ chefs, restaurants and local farmers together to celebrate the diverse bounty of Hawai‘i-grown products at sold-out events. 

Traveling Plate HI, a state-wide culinary tour, showcases Hawai‘i’s food scene as a vessel to raise much-needed awareness and funds for Hawai‘i non-profit organizations such as Easter Seals and Surfrider Foundation Hawai‘i’s O‘ahu Chapter.

Throughout the summer of 2022, Traveling Plate HI will be comprised of events on Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi Island, Maui and Kauaʻi that foster relationships and tell the stories of collaboration between our islands’ talented chefs and co-producers. 

Local chefs will work with graduates of the GoFarm Hawaii program to utilize locally-sourced ingredients. Each event will be unique to its host island community, driven by the vision of participating chefs and partners. 

100% of the funds raised will go directly to benefit Chef Hui’s mission to connect the culinary world with their communities.

 

 
 

About Chef Hui

Chef Hui is more than just a couple of chefs coming together. It is a mobile collective from all walks of life ready to step up and step in where they are needed. As part of Chef Hui, our hope is to provide a support system for any and all dedicated to a more robust and equitable food system while having some fun along the way.

Our mission is to create opportunities to connect the culinary world with their community through a strong network of local chefs and produce providers. We aim to provide opportunities for like-minded culinary professionals and educators to deepen their connection to farmers, ranchers, schools, community organizations, and individuals working to build a more robust food system.
